Last year I received an email from Jess and Matt requesting DIY buckets for their June wedding at Tunnels beaches.
When I receive a request for wedding flowers the first thing I ask for is an inspiration picture and they helpfully sent me this mood board. Its definitely worth spending a little bit of time looking at flowers and getting a really clear idea of a colour palette and desired style - it really helps me choose the correct blooms for your buckets.
When you get buckets from me I don’t always grow everything. To ensure I have enough variety in the buckets i’ll always see if other local growers have some extra bits that I can sneak into them. Harriet from Sweetpeas and Sunflowers provided some Ammi, larkspur, clary sage and some other shorter stems that added extra magic to the buckets. I love doing this- when you buy buckets of flowers from me they always include the very best of what’s in season from my little corner of Devon and you are supporting, not just me, but other local growers in the process.
June is such a beautiful month for flowers and the buckets were stuffed with Cornish peonies, homegrown garden roses, honeysuckle, gypsophilia, stocks, phlox, daisies and so many beautiful varieties in the couples colour pallete. I can never guarantee a certain flower because we work with the seasons- it’s just not possible to get dahlias in June, for example, but I can always provide appropriate flowers for the look you are trying to achieve.

Bridal bouquet: 30-60 stems
Bridesmaid bouquet: 20-40 stems
Button hole: 3-5 stems
Jam jar arrangement/ small table arrangements: 10-15 stems
Larger vase arrangement: 30-50 stems
Pedestal/ milk churn: 60-80 stems
